Quality Time with Cousins at Zola

Cozy interior and warm colors.
We may be living in one apartment but my cousins and I find it hard to bond together. And by bond I mean reeeaaaally bond  where we stay together, maybe eat together or have a long and fun chitchat. Our schedules just don't meet. Sof's off to work early morning til 9pm. Mhai's either at school or reviewing for school. Rhadz deserves all the time in the world to enjoy her stay since she just got back from working abroad. And I am into job hunt.
Rhadz and I, since were the only ones who aren't that busy, we planned to go to the midnight market but we're too early for that so we've decided to just call the others to have dinner with us. Luckily we were all available for the night and found the perfect place for a little bonding.

We've decided to do our late night date at Zola Resto/Cafe, located at Upper Session Road

The hanging lamps are to adore for!

It was actually my first time to enter Zola now that it has moved two floors up from its previous location. I don’t know when it did move but the last time I went there it was still on the Ground floor of the old Patria de Baguio Building which is now home to a famous fast food chain.

Me and my cousins enjoying the uber cute couch!

The new Zola is a bigger one. It has this very cozy interior and I just love the hanging lamps everywhere… and of course the super chic red couch which screams "ROYALTY!" along the entrance where we stopped by and took pictures together with our "feeling turista" poses!

We tried their Taal Rice which is literally a mountain of fried rice (a la Taal volcano) with adobo and tinapa flakes and wedges of itlog-na-maalat. Seriously it’s a lot of rice that we weren't able to make ubos and it’s the most affordable of all the rice combos in their menu (around Php70). We also tried their pork and bangus sisig (courtesy of Rhadz) and a bottle of San Mig Apple each. I feel sorry I wasn't able to take pics of the foods but the bangus sisig was the BEST!

Me and my cousins enjoyed each other's company as much as we enjoyed the place too. Zola is one nice place to bond with friends but if you hate cigarette smoke, then Zola isn’t the place for you because they do not prohibit cigarette smoking inside.

In the end though, we enjoyed too much our date that when we went back to Harrison Road for the night market, almost all the tiangges are already closing at aroung 12midnight. But no regrets! It was a fabulous night for all of us! The night market will always be there but the precious time we've spent for each other is priceless and will forever be in our hearts!
