Bago ang lahat, I'd like to greet our heroes lalung-lalo na ang mga OFWs natin na nagwowork abroad para lang may maibigay na magandang buhay sa pamilya dito sa Pilipinas! August 26 is National Heroes Day!

Long weekend mga besh! I wanted a new environment kahit nitong long weekend lang.

Baguio has always been my go-to kapag feeling ko stressed out ako. Ever since kasi I considered it to be my second home. There are times na namimiss ko yung place... yung lamig most especially. There's something comforting kapag Baguio na ang pinag-uusapan.

Kaya naman in anticipation of the long weekend, nag-book tayo ng hotel room. This time, kakaiba siya. Natuwa ako sa pictures and aesthetic ng building. This hotel is one of the newly built hotels in the city (just launched March 2018). Well that's good na din siguro economy-wise giving more jobs to people.

This hotel I am talking about is the award-winning G1 Lodge Design Hotel. This boutique hotel strategically located atop Session Road just across SM City Baguio.

As always mga besh, maulan. May bagyo kasi nun. I booked a room a week before kaya wala ng atrasan mga teh! Sayang ang anda!

While on my way to Baguio, hotel reception called to ask if I'd want my room downgraded due to water leakage caused by the continuous rainfall. When asked if it's okay, I was hesitant at first. Who wants a room downgrade anyway? Di ba? But they left me with no option. There were no other rooms available. It was a long weekend and most hotels are already fully booked so I agreed.

Pack Road. Pagpasok ko ng hotel, I was greeted by the beautiful interior of the hotel.

They were apologetic naman about the downgrade that they offered a free dinner of choice to make up for it (Ayos bang yun lang kapalit? I demand for more! Choz!).

Anyway, check-in and check-out transactions went fast and smooth.

Here's what the room assigned to me look like:

Hallway papunta sa room. Take note, only those with key card can enter. So plus points for the security!

Mga anek-anek sa hallway. Cordilleran art pieces.

The hotel supports local artists.

The room assigned to me. Downgraded :'-(

Masikip yung room. The bed occupies most of the room space. Pero may Smart TV with Netflix kaya plus points pa rin.

Mini desk.

The side table.

Ayan natuwa ako sa CR nila. Malinis at maayos besh!

Hayzzz! The food is okay. Hu hu.

Nagutom akesh! Tagal ng biyahe eh. Lafang muna.

View from the room. Buti na lang may maayos pa namang view kahit papaano.

It's just sad I really wanted a room with balcony so badly!

Kaya yan lang naorder ko for dinner (dinner?!) after kong maglamyerda mag-hapon.

What I like best about the hotel. Syempre the interior including the building's facade. Ganda talaga! Good breakfast options. Love their breakfast buffet. Convenient location. Clean Room. Each floor has its own security allowing only hotel guests to enter. Syempre, the friendly and accommodating staff (Ang pogi nung isang guy dun! Ano kayang name? Ha ha *landi mode*).

What I didn't like are the Limited Room Space (Swan room); No ref inside the room. Restaurant/Café closes early; Sound proof is weak... and di ko alam ioperate yung aircon.

There are so much to experience pa in this hotel. Looking forward sa Rooftop dining experience with a 360 degree view of Baguio.

So how did I spend my long weekend? Ilan ito sa mga kinatuwaan kong puntahan:

Nasan ang mga bookworms? This is heaven for every book lover out there. Syempre aside from that, meron ding Book Sale sa SM Baguio.

Located at T. Claudio Street, UCPB Building.

Bookends: Where you Read More because You Spend Less.

Daming books to choose and discover.

Assi Mart. Korean grocery store/shop at Porta Vaga.

TAKUYAKI!

...and Oh! I already found out where Ili-likha is located!
Antagal kong hinanap ito. I thought malayo ito sa City proper. Turns out nasa malapit lang pala sa Session Road. Pero di pa ako nakapasok. Masarap ba food dito?

Idagdag ko na din. First time makasakay sa new bus ng Partas. In fairness hindi nakakahilo.

My long weekend in Baguio was satisfying. Looking forward again to my next trip to my second home. Baguio City never loses its charm. Madami pa akong kelangan idiscover sa City of Pines. Any recommendations?
