Ermergerd! Can't believe I'm giving out a beauty advice. LOL
Well, I'm kind of sick and tired of the false promises I get from TVC's I usually encounter while watching my favorite daily drama on TV. And hair products are the most non-convincing commercials ever! I've tried almost every brand with the promise of having frizz free hair but always end up feeling disappointed. This however didn't stop me from looking for a better solution for my hair problem.
Sure I can easily go to the salon and have my hair treated but I'm on a very tight budget. I want a non-expensive solution for my problem... until I found some very good homemade recipes online but as much as I would want to try any of these recipes, there's always one or two ingredients that I could not obtain.
It's no secret to everyone that Aloe Vera is one of the primary ingredients of a lot of shampoo and conditioners available in the market. Aloe Vera has properties that can combat hair problems like hair loss/thinning, dandruff and frizz.
I immediately went to mama's garden and looked for her potted aloe vera plant... To my delight, there was one pot of aloe vera for me. Yay!
Since my hair's not long, I won't be needing much so I only took one big stem/leaf (or whatever it's called).
I washed it, cut in halves and directly apply its gel into my hair. It's slimy and the odor wasn't pleasing at first but I got used to it.
Once I've fully coated my hair, I just let it dry for hours.
Last Thursday, I just let it dry the whole day since I got no other things to do at home. Though I've read that you can also blow dry your hair instead, if you're on the go. You will notice white particles in your hair once it's fully dry but worry not because it will be gone after washing or you can just comb it off.

The result? Amazing! My hair's softer and less frizzy.
Earlier yesterday, I did it again to my hair. It really keeps getting better everytime... and I've just finished applying aloe vera again today letting it dry while doing this blog post.
I've just found the best hair care product God has ever created. Thank God for Aloe Vera! I might also try one of the recipes I've found online some other time when I've got all other ingredients available.

Well, aside from the amazing works aloe vera has done to my hair, I'm pretty sure we all have a cool mom who first taught us that aloe vera can be used as treatment for minor wounds and burns. Moms really are just the best teachers and doctors in the world! Thank God for our Mommas!
Blessed Sunday chicas!
