First Booking: Hotel Veniz

Hotel Veniz - Burnham, Baguio City

I was looking for a puppy na pwede kong ipartner sa aking doggo. I found one from Baguio, inquired, transacted with the owner. We agreed na tingnan ko yung puppy on the weekend so I booked a hotel right away for the weekend. (Shushyal! May pa-hotel. Ngayon lang 'to mga beshy!)

May mga cousins naman ako working and studying in Baguio pero ayoko naman silang bulabugin... besides may mga extra lakad pa aside from buying a puppy. Hihi!

It was my first to book a hotel after one failed attempt (Hindi natuloy yung una due to a family emergency *sigh*). Nakakatakot din naman kasi yung mga nababalitang online nakawan which most of the time is due to our negligence din naman.

Anyway, successfully booked a room without any hassle. Thanks Agoda! I chose Hotel Veniz and booked there Superior Queen room. Bakit? Una, because mura siya. I don't know. Out of curiosity na lang siguro. Besides, if you speak of Baguio, Hotel Veniz ang isa sa mga popular places to stay.

So yun nga... natuloy ang lakad kahit na maulan! That's the reason na rin siguro kung bakit nag-mumurahan ang mga hotel rates. I didn't know what to expect inside the room when I booked since there are NO PICTURES! Picture lang ng building ang nakalagay. (Calling Hotel Veniz!)

Walang picture ang room kaya you're in for a surprise!

Going to the hotel from the Bus terminal (Partas terminal along Gov. Pack Road) is not a problem. Alam ng lahat where Hotel Veniz is... what I didn't know is that meron pa palang isang Hotel Veniz along Session Road. Dun ako sa Hotel Veniz - Burnham, the old one.

Kinakabahan lang kasi baka on the spot englishan. He was courteous and so with their Front Desk personnel. All smiles naman sila. Downside: Puro sila babae, kelan kaya puro lalake naman. Charaught!

They asked for my name, told me to fill-up a form, show one valid ID, and asked Php500.00. Ito daw yung parang collateral just in case maubos ko mga food na nakadisplay sa room medyo pinaganda lang nila yung explanation.

After that, binigay na ang key card for the room and up I go!

Medyo old na talaga ang Hotel Veniz. The hotel elevator needs an upgrade, their lights, floor tiles and walls needs improvement.

Very neat and mabango the linens pero yung bed nagcreacreak. Hindi maayos pagkaka-install. Mayghad! Chareezzz!!!

Very nice and clean room.

I was so gutom but so lazy to get up para kumain sa labas.

Their complimentary coffee with two cookies.

Two sets of slippers and an In-Room Safe.

The comfort room was clean kaso may molds dun sa mirror. They need to upgrade na talaga.

Set of toiletries good for two which includes: 2 sachets bath soap, 2 sachets shampoo, 2 sachets toothpaste, and two toothbrushes.

From its window, you'll see a view of Melvin Jones Football Ground. On its right  is the famous Burnham Park and if you're like me na enjoy mag-ukay-ukay, nasa left naman niya ang Harrison Road na gabi-gabing may ganap...Night Market!

I took this pic from the other side of the building overlooking Baguio Market and Abanao Square.
Kung ayaw mo namang mag shopping at night, just beside Hotel Veniz is the Bayanihan Shopping Center, Baguio City's ukay-ukay mecca! This is where I found authentic luxury items na kahit pa discounted na ay hindi ko pa rin ma-afford. Nakakalerqui!

The booking includes breakfast for two pero dahil inaya ako ng friend kong shushyal ay mas pinili kong sumama sakanya.

Juice colored! Paano inumin to?!

Back to the hotel...

What I like: The best thing about it is its LOCATION! Ito talaga bentahe nila mga besh. It is located right at the heart of the city. Pangalawa, maayos and malinis ang room. Third, very courteous ang staff nila.

What I don't like: floor tiles sa hallway nasisira na, Chipped paint sa wall, outdated facilities, may drawings ng bata sa wall, and hindi ko matantiya yung heater ng shower. Wala akong nakilalang poging boys! Kidding aside pero pantasya ko yun! Chozz!

All in all, naging maayos naman ang transaction from Check-In 'til Check-Out. I had a very good and comfortable sleep which is the main reason why we're looking for a hotel naman... to have a place where we can stay comfortably.
